Music Leadership MA, Guildhall School of Music & Drama
The course included community music, cross-arts collaborations and artistic development. Here are a few of my projects whilst there:
MARKETSCAPES
Marketscapes was an immersive multimedia performance exploring the sounds and stories of market life in the UK and in Latin America. It featured live music, electronics, recorded sound, interviews with market vendors and animation.
Much of the music was inspired by vendors' cries from Columbia Road and Walthamstow Market. The piece as a whole was an exploration of the relationship between people and place, highlighting themes such as tradition, consumerism, immigration and identity.

DIALOGUE FESTIVAL

Dialogue is a festival of community arts, curated by the Barbican and Guildhall Creative Learning. For the festival I led a songwriting project for young people with learning disabilities from the charity Mencap (pictured), and assisted with a composition project at the Randall Cremer primary school.

CURIOUS FESTIVAL
The Curious Festival is a cross-arts festival which encourages experimentation across all fields.
Curious 2014 took place in Hackney Wick. The show featured works resulting from the collaboration of Guildhall Leadership students and artists from Central St Martins. My work 'Time Shift was performed live with two bamboo flutes and two xylophone players, with visuals by Kuba Korytowski. Listen here:

Curious 2015 took place in the Rag Factory in Brick Lane. The festival's theme was migration. I created a piece inspired by the local history of immigration in Brick Lane, complete with recorded sound, flute motifs, live looping and improvisation.
